That journey from empty to full was at the heart of this year’s Empty Bowls event.
On March 14, 2026, the community gathered in St. Petersburg for Empty Bowls, coming together with a shared purpose to raise awareness about hunger and support Daystar’s mission. Through that collective effort, the event raised just short of $55,000, a powerful reminder of what is possible when compassion leads the way.
The Empty Bowl

For many who come to Daystar seeking support, hunger is only part of a larger story. It is often connected to financial instability, housing uncertainty, or a single unexpected expense that disrupts an already fragile balance.
