To submit a request for assistance with a past due utility bill or rent assistance,
please submit your request by clicking on the appropriate button below.
We have recently updated some of our policies and application requirements. It is very important that you read the application carefully and completely before submitting it, as some information and eligibility requirements have changed.
Please review the following updates carefully:
- If you received utility assistance from Daystar Life in 2025 or 2026, you will not be eligible to apply again for 2 years from the date you last received assistance.
- If you received rent assistance from Daystar Life in 2025 or 2026, you will not be eligible to apply again for 3 years from the date you last received assistance.
- Additional policies and requirements may also apply. Please read the full application for complete details.
All form fields are required. Incomplete applications WILL NOT be processed.
All landlords will be contacted prior to your interview. Emails and phone messages are checked once per week. We appreciate your patience and will respond as soon as possible.
Rent assistance is limited to the current month’s rent only. We are unable to assist with past-due balances, hotel/motel stays, room rentals, or Section 8/income-based housing at this time.

When you walk through the door at Daystar, you will be greeted personally with a sincere welcome and heartfelt neighborly care. Our entire team is carefully trained and faithfully dedicated to understanding your unique situation and making sure your needs are addressed. In some cases, we may refer you to other caring community organizations who have more of the resources you require.

Healthy Food Pantry
Our healthy food pantry is client-choice and focuses on increasing healthy choices.
Financial Assistance

Food pantry Farm
Daystar volunteers harvest our edible garden on Wednesday and provide produce directly to neighbors every Thursday morning beginning at 9AM.

Traveler's Aid Program
The Daystar Life Traveler’s Aid program supports individuals in Pinellas County who are experiencing homelessness or at risk of becoming unhoused.
Before travel is arranged, our team works to confirm that safe, stable housing is available at the destination. We focus on creating responsible relocation plans that lead to lasting stability and a successful fresh start.
This program is in partnership with Pinellas County.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Must be residing in Pinellas County
- Must have a verified contact (family member or friend) at the destination
- Persons referred to Daystar through a community partner or case manager
- Must complete an in-person interview with a designated Daystar representative
- Must have their destination verified
